Help and support
How to get in, check in to class and keep your profile up to date, and who to ask when something is not working.
Signing in
There is no password. You sign in with the mobile number or work email your dealership has on file for you.
With a code by text
- On the sign-in page, tap Sign in and enter your mobile number.
- Tap Text me a code. A six-digit code arrives by text.
- Enter the code. It expires after a few minutes; Resend code sends a new one.
With a link by email
- On the sign-in page, choose No phone? Email me a link instead.
- Enter your work email and tap Email me a login link.
- Open the email on the device you want to use and tap the link. It signs you straight in.
I didn’t get my code
Work down this list. Most missing codes are one of the first three.
- Check the number. It has to be the mobile number your dealership has on file, not a desk line or a new number they have not been given yet.
- Wait a minute, then tap Resend code. Texts can be slow on a weak signal.
- Check that you have not opted out. If you ever replied STOP to a TSB Online text, your carrier blocks our messages. Reply START to that same number to turn them back on.
- Use email instead. On the sign-in page, choose No phone? Email me a link instead.
- New, or changed your number or email? You may not be on the roster yet. On the sign-in page, tap I need access and send the short form. It goes to your dealership to review, and you can sign in once you have been added.
Still stuck? Your manager can confirm the number and email on file for you, or see who to contact below.
Class check-in
You check yourself in on your own phone, in the training room, on the day of the class.
- Open Classes and tap Check in. The button is there on class days only.
- Point your camera at the QR code on the training-room screen. The code changes every few moments, so a photo of it will not work.
- If the camera will not start, type the code from the screen into the box and tap Check me in.
Were you in the room but not marked present? Tell your manager or your dealership’s admin on the day. An admin can correct the attendance record.
Your profile and photo
Change your photo
Open Profile and tap your photo. Choose a picture or take one; a JPEG or PNG works best. It is cropped square and saved straight away.
Edit your details
Open Profile, then Personal details. Your nickname, hometown and the other optional details are yours to change at any time.
Position, team, phone number or email wrong?
Those come from your dealership’s roster, so you cannot edit them yourself. Ask your manager or your dealership’s admin to correct them.
Who to contact
Your manager or your dealership’s admin is the quickest route for anything about your account: getting access, a wrong number or email, your team or position, a class you were not marked present for.
Virtual Automotive runs TSB Online for your dealership. Contact us when the portal itself is not working, or with a question about your information.
For a text message, you can also reply HELP to any TSB Online text, or STOP to stop them.
Delete my account or data
Your account is created by your dealership from its employee roster, so closing it is done by the dealership, not from inside the app.
How to ask
Ask your dealership’s admin to remove your access, or write to ray@virtualautomotiv.com with your name and dealership. Tell us whether you want your sign-in removed, your optional profile details (photo, nickname, hometown and the like) removed, or both.
What stays
Training, attendance and performance records, and any acknowledgment you signed, are your employer’s employment records. The dealership keeps them for as long as it is required to, and they are not deleted on request. The privacy policy sets this out.
What you can do yourself, today
- Clear or change your optional profile details under Profile, Personal details.
- Stop text messages by replying STOP to any of them.
- Log out of a device from Profile.
